Epoxy sandwich construction in surfboards.

I completely had it with the fragility of polyester surfboards.
For us windsurfers it's just so difficult to keep the boards in a safe spot in the van, so much gear
to take and not enough room.
So I started making surfboards the same as my windsufboards, and apart from the extra work I think it's totally worth it. The boards come out stronger, light
er and on top I can play around with the amount of flex the board has. I glass them up with one layer of S-glass on the bottom, two on the deck and then some extra carbon for reinforcement and of course to change the flex. So far I only made 4 but I'm really happy with the result. I wont stop now, it's just too much fun. The pictures are of a 6"4' and a 6"3' . More pictures coming soon.

Kauli's Board

I asked Kauli if he would be interested in trying out one of my quad fin boards. He liked the idea and so here’s are a few pictures of the board I made him. It’s a shape I designed for European conditions so we ‘ll see. The main thing is the quad fin setup, and I’m sure he will love it.

Maui cruiser

Here's a picture of my favorite Maui cruiser. It served me well the 4 years I spend on Maui, and so here's to the old crappy cars that get us everywhere!!
